Bye, bye, bye

I’m pretty easily pleased when it comes to small things. Okay fine, no I’m not, but that’s not what this blog post is about so please mind your own business. Let’s start again. Ahem.

I’m not easily pleased at all, so when it comes to finding a product that you truly love, it’s a magical experience. It’s like waking up as a kid on Christmas morning. It’s when every light is on green so you can get home those two minutes earlier. A warm breeze on a summers day, before the gates to Satan’s lair have opened. it’s just a joyous occasion.

That is until they decide to discontinue the product you have been using since before Satan even became Satan. What kind of sick twisted joke is this.

You don’t even get an email, letting you know the brand is ever so sorry and they hope zero inconvenience has been caused by their silly mistakes. No, no, no. instead they leave it as a little surprise. So, when you’re next out of your favourite SPF or face scrub, and you take a casual look online ready to place your order, that shit is nowhere to be found. Nowhere I tell you.

Not even on the dark web. Jokes, I’ve never been there, they may actually have it. But, then will it be spiked with some kind of drug that will make my face fall off? We just don’t know and it’s not a risk I’m willing to take. Not yet anyway…

There isn’t even a cute little message online, “Soz hun, we know you loved this, as did millions of others, but our give a fucks are on vacation so…”

They just act like the product never existed in the first place and now you’re some kind of crazy ex stalker making shit up. “What are you even talking about, you weirdo. Please stop searching for this product or we will call the police.”

I know brands have to get rid of some products to make room for new ones but why does it have to be the ones I love, and the ones that are top fucking notch. Where is your loyality. It’s rude, petty and uncalled for.

No wonder we are all having commitment and trust issues if we can’t even rely on our fave lipstick to get us through the day. Good grief.
